ABOUT ME
Welcome! I'm Cat Klein - a passionate storyteller and social media professional. I recently served as Interim Social Media Director with the Bloomington Bison Hockey Club of the ECHL, replacing my role as an intern. Within the role, I stepped up to manage every Bison social media account (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and LinkedIn), live update both home and away games, shoot and edit photos and videos and post content on socials using strategy and intention.
As a retired college athlete who graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelor's in Sports Communication, working in sports is my ultimate career goal. I have a permanent love for sports and have always been passionate about photography, editing, writing and storytelling through social media. I am currently shaping my career around these passions!
Though I gained much of my experience in social media from my internships in professional hockey, my passion for it stems back ten years. While I was a tween, I was a mega-Swiftie and dedicated much of my free time to running a fan account on Instagram. In the two years I ran this account I went from 0-60,000+ followers. Although I retired the account many years ago, I still have a passion for growing social media channels and engaging with followers to build an authentic fan base.
I have always thrived in fast-paced environments and very much love being part of a team both on and off the court. I am a perfectionist in my work, but I know when to let go of things out of my control. I bring an uplifting energy everywhere I go and love talking to people about anything and everything!
I grew up in a small town in Illinois and am very eager to learn what else the world has to offer. I am open to positions everywhere and am very excited to see what my future holds!
